'Anynymousism' the title of my beliefs and ideas which I believe can really help out the forum. Ok so I may have new ideas and I do want to listen to each and every member. Sadly I am new and I know hardly any of you so I'm only giving these ideas to start off. Please do give your opinion and post if you disagree with any of my ideas or want any more information.
Freedom of the Individual and order
For starters it is what I believe that each and every member have their own rights and interests. Although I take a very pessimistic view on the human nature, which even a small rp forum, we all need to consider the rights of a human being. All members should have the right to exercises their freedom, providing they do not interfere with another persons freedom or break the traditional forum rules. And as of order, it is unsure which is above the other. Law and order plays an important role, and must take place if one individual breaks the traditional rules or interferes with another ones freedom. And since humans want to exercise their freedom and yet on the other hand are self-seeking and competitive, thus they live in fear of themselves. Freedom must be the main priority as well as order to ensure that all freedom of each and every individual is protected as well as the forum. So every member has their freedom to exercise their rights as long as order is kept to monitor that the freedom does not break the rules or another member's freedom sphere.
One-forum
Now I have always believed in one-forum. Although we are divided by different positions, class and skill in English. We are all members of one forum. So the only way we can make this forum go forward is by working together, sharing our interests and ideas like I am doing now. All members should concentrate on working together for the good of the forum, rather than emphasize the division between position or class.
Individualism
There is no need to complain about your current position in the forum society. It is my belief that the only way you can get higher is by work. Remember, a one-forum nation, working for the good of the forum can only bring all of us forward not back wards. Share your ideas, post your art, follow the rules, show your work. Those who do work and contribute are those who have the ability to strive forward and will achieve that higher position. Those who constantly ask or complain and show little dedication shall get nowhere. Only the individual can work for himself/herself and it is only the individual who will earn that right to the higher position, rather than those individuals who will not. Thus every individual actually does have the choice to receive a higher role. Such as that moderator everyone has wanted to be. You as an individual have the freedom of choice to get somewhere in this society. Use your abilities and skills to benefit the forum, and then you will benefit yourself as the individual, no one else.
Boards in the interests of the members
Ok so is it me. Or are these boards in the roleplay section more to the interest of the admins than the members? Don't get me wrong because I love Pokemon, Family Guy and South Park. But why is it that it's just roleplay boards, the admins are interested in, get to be listed on the main boards where as the other roleplays have to be used in a minor 'Other role-plays' board. Perhaps there is a point as if every individual have the freedom of choice in this forum, then they all have their favorite shows, books, games ect. to roleplay. So in order to fix this, I purpose that the boards should be listed not just because it's what the admins want, but for what the members want. So if I want to roleplay say 'Star wars', 'Lord of the rings' or 'Batman' which I also love, then it could be posted in other-roleplays. Or things could be taken further and that individual should ask other members if they like the idea of a star wars rp. If a majority of members do support and like this idea, then that roleplay should be made into a board and listed onto the main roleplay boards along side the others. Roleplay ideas which have little interest with other members, can then be placed into the other-roleplays board.
Referendums
Sometimes there is a policy or change which could greatly affect the forum. An example was the last South Park forum that was previously owned by this admin. The admin should not have the absolute say in such major topics, without considering the members. Thus we should go more democratic. If a major idea where in mind, then the admins should ask the forum rather than ask themselves. You are the members and you make up the forum, so you have a say. A referendum should be held for any major change where each and every member has their freedom to vote if they want this change or not. If yes or no, the admins should consider the decision of the majority. If something is either way too minor or way too major, that it is beyond or too unnecessary for our control, then the admins have the right to take their legitimate actions providing they have a fair and justified reason or it is of little interest from the members. For the new referendum and voting system, I purpose a brand new 'Voting booth' where members can go to vote on any topic which may alter the forum.
Role of Admins
Of course we need admins who will stay in power for good. The position of the admin is a traditional institution, who represents the forum. The admins play a major role and must therefore be an elitist who can take a firm, strong approach to the people, yet be sympathetic and consider it's members views. Admins should look after their members as well as keep a line of discipline. Like I said, an elitist. Relations between the admin and the members should be like a parent - child relation. Admins are here to stay and whether you like them or not, they will always be in power unless they step down. It is agreed that we are not always correct, especially the admins, that is why it is the majority of the members to help them in decisions and support for the forum. It is also the admins role, to be an elitist who seeks the good of the forum, and the members. With an elite admin who has firm control over the order and acceptance over the individual freedom and sets a good example, we can only strive forward.
Less government, less support
This ties in closely with the idea of individualism. Other forums have always been helping out those individuals at the bottom who much rather decide to stir up trouble and refuse to show their abilities. Such an act has made, what I call 'A dependency culture'. As an individual you use your skills and work for the forum to get somewhere, you must never depend on the mods and admins for support. So the idea is that little support should be given to those who depend on it, use your abilities to get higher. If you every get to a stage so low then that means you are insufficient. With little support, members will either be forced to be sufficient or suffer the consequences and remain low where then it can get to a point where they leave the forum, if that is the case then good riddance. Never rely on the admins or mods to help you go higher, we are not here to intervene on you as an individual! Rely on yourself!
The mature board
This one is probably a big concern to me and only me. Now I know that the current members are probably pro-mature board and that is fine. I am much more concerned over it. I know some people would like to roleplay that kind of stuff, and sexual intercourse is indeed a human way of life. But do we really need to roleplay it? I for one am against it. For one, it breaks the official rules of proboards, which has legitimate control over this forum and have the power to remove this forum if such mature content is found. Secondly, I am quite concerned that we can get those sick and twisted members who would rather roleplay sex then roleplay with members who do not wish to do so. Also it concerns me that members can roleplay sick and twisted sexual activity which is greatly unnecessary. Plus such activity can spread out of the board, if that is the case then this mature board must be firmly contained. Another objection is that most people who tend to rp are below the age of 18. People lie, and those who are below the age of 18 should not have access to the mature content. And this is my other huge objection to the mature board. It has come to my attention that the role plays listed is south park, kids next door, camp lazlo, pokemon which involve many kids. If these roleplays is taken to the mature board, then it's CP (Child porn) and is illegal in every western world countries. Therefore CP MUST NEVER EVER EVER be posted on the mature board. If I were admin I would never allow such content, but you as the individual have the right to choose to go there if you wish, while it is still there of course. The individual should never be pressured to be sent there by another for sexual activity. If such pressure is found out, then tell a member of staff (preferably those against the 'mature board', like me.) and discipline will be taken. I may not have your full support but if I can't see the mature board gone, then I will see that it is greatly restricted.
Forum couples
Now I fully agree in forum couples and I think that forum couples are indeed wonderful. However such relationships should not be taken way too far and beyond the forum. I mean it is ok to talk to them through msn and all, but if personal information is ever requested from any member of the couple, then that is a concern. Internet safety is vital, and you never know who you can find on the Internet. So keep a forum couple relationship within a forum. Remember to never ever ever give out any personal information such as phone numbers. Yes to forum couples, no to Internet relationship.
